Halo Saunas Warranty
Halo Saunas 5 Year Limited Warranty
Nuovo Luxury Ltd is proud to offer a 5 year limited warranty on Halo Saunas. This warranty covers specific components against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms, exclusions, installation requirements, and maintenance responsibilities set out below.
Please read this warranty carefully to understand what is covered, what is not covered, and the steps required to keep your warranty valid.
1. Warranty Coverage
1.1 Wooden Structure: 5 Years
The wooden structure of the sauna, including walls, benches, and doors, is covered for 5 years from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship.
This applies to the structural integrity of the timber components only.
Not covered under this section: normal wear and tear, weathering, fading, minor cracking, minor movement in timber, discolouration, improper installation, misuse, poor maintenance, environmental exposure, or damage caused by unsuitable ground preparation.
1.2 Heater and Control Equipment
The warranty period for the sauna heater and control equipment depends on the type of use:
- Private residential family use: 2 years from the date of delivery.
- Shared residential building use: 1 year from the date of delivery.
- Commercial, institutional, or high use environments: 3 months from the date of delivery.
Commercial, institutional, or high use environments include, but are not limited to, apartment or communal facilities, gyms, hotels, spas, wellness centres, retreat venues, clubs, and any setting where the sauna is used by multiple unrelated users or on a frequent commercial basis.
1.3 Lights: 2 Years
The sauna lights are covered for 2 years from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship.
2. Heater and Electrical Warranty Exclusions
The heater, controls, lights, and related electrical components are not covered where faults arise from any of the following:
- Incorrect or non compliant electrical installation
- Power surges or external electrical faults
- Failure to follow installation, operating, care, or maintenance instructions
- Misuse, overuse, or use outside the intended setting
- Use of sauna stones not recommended by the heater manufacturer
- Inadequate ventilation or unsafe operating conditions
- Damage caused by unqualified electrical work
Any fault caused by failure to comply with installation or maintenance instructions may void the warranty for the affected component.
3. What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, including minor cracks, timber movement, slight gaps, surface marks, fading, and cosmetic ageing from normal use
- Electrical wiring outside the sauna unit, including supply cables, external isolation points, and mains connection work
- Damage caused by weather or environmental conditions, including rain, snow, wind, humidity, standing water, or inadequate protection
- Accidental damage or misuse, including damage caused during transport, relocation, impact, neglect, or improper operation
- Improper installation, including installation on unsuitable or uneven ground
- Use of incorrect sauna stones or unsuitable accessories
- Consumable items and routine maintenance matters
- Any issue caused by modifications, alterations, or unauthorised repairs
4. Electrical Setup Requirements
To maintain the validity of this warranty, all electrical work must be carried out by a fully qualified and certified electrician in accordance with applicable UK regulations and the heater manufacturer’s instructions.
The following requirements must be followed:
4.1 Dedicated Power Supply
The sauna must be connected to a dedicated power supply. The heater and associated components must not share circuits with other household or commercial appliances.
4.2 RCD Protection
An appropriate RCD must be installed where required for safe operation and compliance.
4.3 Isolation or Stop Switch
A suitable isolation switch or stop switch should be installed to allow safe shutdown of the sauna heater when needed.
4.4 Correct Circuit Protection
A correctly rated circuit breaker must be installed based on the heater’s kW rating, electrical load, and the applicable regulations.
4.5 Certification
The customer must retain confirmation that the electrical installation has been completed correctly by a qualified electrician. This may be requested in support of a warranty claim relating to the heater, controls, lights, or other powered components.
5. Natural Timber Movement
Halo Saunas are constructed using high quality natural timber. As with all solid wood products, timber will naturally expand and contract in response to changes in temperature, humidity, and seasonal conditions.
This movement is especially common during the first year after installation and may be more noticeable in indoor, heated, or higher use environments where the timber is exposed to drier air and repeated heating cycles.
As a result, small gaps, settling, surface movement, and visual changes in the timber may occur over time. These are normal characteristics of natural wood and traditional sauna construction. They do not affect the structural integrity, insulation performance, safety, or intended lifespan of the sauna.
For this reason, minor timber movement, settling, or visual changes are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.
Sauna interiors are intentionally constructed to allow timber to move naturally. We do not recommend filling, sealing, or restricting internal timber joints, as doing so may cause cracking or other damage.
6. Customer Responsibilities and Maintenance
Proper use and maintenance are essential for the longevity of your sauna and for keeping this warranty valid.
6.1 Temperature Control
The sauna should generally be operated within the recommended temperature range of 70°C to 90°C, unless otherwise specified for the heater model. Excessive overheating may damage the sauna and void the warranty.
6.2 Site and Positioning
The sauna must be installed on solid, level, and suitable ground. Damage caused by poor base preparation, movement, or settlement is not covered.
6.3 Inspection Before Use
Before use, the customer should check that visible connectors, controls, and accessible wiring appear in good condition, and that ventilation openings remain clear.
6.4 Cleaning and Aftercare
The sauna should be kept clean and dry. After use, it should be allowed to cool and ventilate properly. Debris, ash, moisture build up, and dirt should be removed as part of routine care.
6.5 Safe Use
The sauna must be used in accordance with the operating instructions. Failure to follow the product guidance, heater guidance, or general sauna safety practices may void the warranty.
