Bespoke Garden Sauna UK — The Sanctuary vs The Hideout vs Heat Quad vs Fort Soleil
Bespoke Garden Sauna UK
The Sanctuary · The Hideout · Heat Quad · Fort Soleil — four handcrafted Finnish saunas compared side by side so you can choose the right one for your garden.
Four bespoke garden saunas, compared
All four models in this guide are handcrafted to order, delivered fully pre-assembled to mainland UK, and include a 2-year warranty. None require planning permission in most UK gardens. The differences are in size, capacity, internal finish, and the specific features each brings to the sauna experience.

- Medium-to-large garden, up to 5 people with premium finish: Fort Soleil

Heater options across the range
All four models support both electric and wood-burning heaters from Harvia, Finland’s leading sauna heater manufacturer.
- Electric heater — Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW: precise digital temperature control; optional Harvia mobile app remote (£400 upgrade). Requires a dedicated electrical supply.
- Wood-burning — Harvia Pro / 20 Pro: traditional löyly experience; no electrical requirements for the heater itself. Authentic Finnish sauna feel.
- Harvia Legend (Hideout only): premium wood-burning heater with optional 30-litre water tank for steam generation.
Delivery, base and installation
All four models are delivered fully pre-assembled across mainland UK. The delivery vehicle is a flatbed or curtain-side lorry. A crane or forklift is required to position the sauna — this service is quoted and arranged separately (typically £300–£800 depending on access and location).
A solid, level concrete base must be in place before delivery. The base must be rated to support the sauna’s filled weight. Consult a structural engineer if unsure about your ground conditions.
If choosing an electric heater, a dedicated power feed must be installed by a qualified electrician prior to delivery. This work is subject to Part P building regulations.
