NUOVO LUXURY PERGOLA WARRANTY


This Limited Warranty is provided by Nuovo Luxury and applies to Nuovo Luxury pergolas supplied and/or installed by Nuovo Luxury or an authorised reseller.


This warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship under normal residential use and correct maintenance.

It applies to the original purchaser and may be transferred to a new property owner if Nuovo Luxury is notified in writing within 30 days of ownership transfer.


This warranty is governed by the terms and conditions below.


1. WARRANTY PERIODS


1.1 Structural Elements – 10 Years


Covers aluminium posts, beams, louvres, and gutters against defects in materials or craftsmanship.


1.2 Powder Coating – 8 Years (7 Years in Coastal/High-Acidity Zones)


Covers peeling, blistering, and chipping of the thermosetting powder coating under normal exposure.

In coastal or high-acidity areas (typically within 3–5km of the sea), cover is 7 years.


1.3 Electrical Components

  • Motors: 5 years

  • Control units: 2 years

  • LED lighting, drivers, switches, wiring: 2 years


1.4 Fabric Components – 5 Years


Covers defects in materials and manufacture.

Normal fading, UV wear, and staining are not covered.


1.5 Mechanical & Moving Parts – 5 Years


Covers gear systems, bearings, tracks, and louvre movement mechanisms.

No annual servicing is required for the warranty.


Customers must ensure the mechanism is kept free of leaves, debris, ice, and obstructions.


2. INSTALLATION QUALITY GUARANTEE


(For Nuovo Luxury installations only)


We provide a 7-day installation guarantee covering:

  • Alignment issues

  • Door locking adjustments

  • Silicone work

  • Minor cosmetic marks caused during installation


Issues must be reported within 7 days of installation completion.


3. LABOUR & CALL-OUT POLICY


Nuovo Luxury provides free labour for approved warranty repairs within the first 12 months after installation.


After 12 months:

  • Warranty-covered parts remain free of charge.

  • Labour, call-out fees, inspections, adjustments, and installation work required to fit replacement parts will be chargeable at Nuovo Luxury's standard rates.


If the issue is caused by misuse, neglect, blocked drainage, environmental exposure, third-party work, or storm damage, all parts and labour are fully chargeable regardless of warranty period.


4. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS


This warranty does not cover the following:


4.1 Damage not caused by manufacturing defects

  • Accidental or impact damage

  • Improper operation or misuse

  • Improper installation by third parties

  • Scratches, dents, or marks after installation

  • Use of aftermarket accessories or modifications

  • Forcing mechanisms obstructed by debris or ice


4.2 Environmental conditions and natural weathering


Not considered defects:

  • Normal UV fading or chalking

  • Minor water ingress during angled or wind-driven rain

  • Water spots or mineral staining

  • Black streaking from environmental contaminants

  • Corrosion from salt air or chemicals


4.3 Blocked gutters or drainage


Issues caused by leaves, moss, dirt, or obstructed drainage channels are not covered.


4.4 Waterproofing expectations

Nuovo Luxury pergolas and glass elements are designed to offer a high level of weather protection. As with all outdoor structures, minor water entry may occur during wind-driven rain or certain weather conditions. This is considered normal for open-air systems and does not indicate a fault with the product.


5. STORM & EXTREME WEATHER GUIDANCE


To protect your pergola:

  • Fully retract all zip screens in strong winds

  • Ensure drainage channels are clear

  • Remove loose outdoor items that may strike the structure

  • Avoid operating the louvres during extreme wind or storm conditions

  • Do not leave louvres open during storms

  • Do not force mechanisms if blocked by debris or ice


Damage caused by severe weather, incorrect use, or inadequate preparation is not covered.


6. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS


To submit a claim:

  1. Report the issue within 30 days of discovering the defect.

  2. Provide:

    • Proof of purchase

    • Photos/videos

    • Description of the issue

It is essential that Nuovo Luxury is given a fair opportunity to review the claim before any repair work is initiated


Nuovo Luxury will provide a suitable solution within 30 days of inspection, which may include:

  • Repair

  • Replacement part

  • Replacement component


Liability will not exceed the original purchase price (including installation where provided).


7. PRODUCT DISCONTINUATION


If a part is discontinued, Nuovo Luxury may supply a part of equal or greater performance.


8. WARRANTY TRANSFER


This warranty may be transferred to the next homeowner if:

  • Nuovo Luxury is notified within 30 days of property transfer

  • The pergola has been maintained according to the Care & Maintenance guidelines


9. CARE & MAINTENANCE


Correct care is essential for long-term performance and to keep your warranty valid.


9.1 Cleaning Guidance


  • Begin with a Gentle Rinse: A simple way to maintain your louvered roof is by using a garden hose coupled with a soft brush or cloth and clean water. Start from the top and gently rinse downwards. This approach should remove the majority of surface dirt and grime effectively.
  • Proceed to Manual Cleaning: If some dirt remains after rinsing, prepare a mild cleaning solution with warm water and a gentle detergent, like dish soap or a multi-surface cleaner. Employ a soft-bristled brush or a soft cloth to carefully clean the surface, working from the top down. After washing a section, rinse thoroughly before moving to the next. For persistent stains, consider the next step.
  • Addressing Mould and Mildew: Should you encounter mould or mildew stains, a mixture of one part bleach to four parts water can be used. Apply this solution directly to the stains.

    Avoid:

    • Abrasive pads

    • Cream cleaners

    • Harsh acidic or alkaline chemicals

    • Solvent cleaners

    • High-pressure washers at close range


    9.2 Drainage, Seals & General Upkeep

    • Keep gutters and drainage channels clear of leaves, moss, and debris

    • Check seals and joints periodically

    • Tighten accessible screws annually

    • Ensure the louvres remain free of obstructions (leaves, twigs, snow, ice)


    9.3 Fabric Components


    Clean gently using water and mild detergent.

    Avoid scrubbing, pressure washing, or solvent-based cleaners.
