The V2 Outdoor Hybrid Sauna is the sauna for people who refuse to choose. It pairs a genuine 6kW Harvia Finnish electric stove with six low-EMF far infrared panels in one handcrafted Canadian Hemlock cabin, so a single unit gives you two completely different ways to sweat — the fierce, steam-laden löyly heat of a traditional Finnish sauna, or the gentle, deep-reaching warmth of infrared on the days you want something softer. It seats up to four, lives happily outdoors all year, and is built for the British climate.

Most people buy a hybrid because they can't decide between traditional and infrared — and after a few months they realise that having both was the right answer all along. Crank the Harvia stove for an intense post-workout session with the family at the weekend, then run just the infrared panels for a quiet twenty-minute warm-up on a cold weekday evening without waiting for the whole cabin to come up to temperature. It's the most versatile sauna we sell.

Why choose a hybrid sauna over traditional or infrared?

A traditional sauna gives you the authentic experience: high heat, the hiss of water on hot stones, and the humidity that loosens muscles and clears the head. An infrared sauna runs cooler and gentler, warming your body directly rather than the air around you, which many people find more comfortable for longer sessions and easier on the lungs. Each has a loyal following — and each leaves the other camp feeling they're missing out.

A hybrid removes the compromise. You get the Harvia stove for traditional bathing and the infrared panels for low-temperature recovery, and you can even run both together. For a household where one person loves the heat and another finds it overwhelming, a hybrid is often the only sauna that genuinely suits everyone. It also future-proofs your purchase: your preferences may change, but a hybrid adapts with you.

Built for the British garden

This is an outdoor sauna designed to stand up to UK weather. The cabin is constructed from superior hand-crafted Canadian Hemlock — a timber prized in sauna building for its strength, even heat distribution, and resistance to warping — with insulated side and rear panels that hold heat in and keep running costs down through a cold winter. The latest version adds premium aluminium cladding with a teak-effect finish, giving a cleaner modern look, better insulation, and no need for periodic exterior re-treatment of the clad areas.

Floor-to-ceiling tempered glass at the front lets you watch the garden, the rain, or the stars while you sit in the warmth — one of the quiet pleasures of an outdoor sauna that an indoor cabin simply can't offer.

Delivery & installation

This sauna is supplied as a precision-engineered flat pack in heavy-duty wooden crates, with clear step-by-step assembly instructions for straightforward home installation. Delivery is approximately 4 to 5 working days. If you'd prefer not to build it yourself, you can add our professional assembly service at checkout and our team will assemble it on site (lead time approximately 2 to 3 weeks).

Because it ships flat-packed in crates rather than fully assembled, this model doesn't require crane lifting — but if you're comparing it with our fully pre-assembled cabins, it's worth understanding how those arrive. See our complete sauna delivery & installation guide for everything about access, HIAB and crane lifting, and what to prepare before delivery day.

Electrical supply

The hybrid system has a total load of 8,100W — 33.75 amps at 240V, split across two feeds:

  • Sauna heater: 6kW (25A) — on its own dedicated feed
  • Controls, infrared & lighting/audio: 13A — on a fused spur

An armoured cable should be run from the main consumer unit to an isolator switch at the sauna location, sized by your electrician for the cable run and total load. From the isolator, a junction box feeds the heater, with a spur to a 13A fused connection unit powering the controls, infrared and ancillaries.

The heater is configured for three-phase by default. For single-phase use, all three live wires must be linked together at the junction box. All electrical installation and final connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Base

The sauna sits on a solid, level base — usually a concrete pad sized for the unit's 2m × 2m footprint and ~450kg weight. Other suitable bases include paving slabs on a compacted sub-base, or a reinforced timber deck. Choose a location with adequate airflow and clearance around all sides.

Exterior & maintenance

The cabin exterior is finished with premium aluminium cladding in a teak-effect finish, so it does not need treating, staining or weatherproofing — before, during or after installation. The aluminium protects the underlying structure from UK weather and keeps the cabin looking clean year after year with no re-treatment required.

Warranty & aftercare

  • Electrical warranty: 2 years (upon registration)
  • Wood warranty: 1 year (upon registration)
  • The aluminium exterior cladding is maintenance-free and does not require treatment or weatherproofing

Please inspect all packaging on delivery. Report any transit damage within 24 hours with photos, SKU, and order number to support@nuovoluxury.co.uk.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hybrid sauna?
A hybrid sauna combines two heating systems in one cabin — a traditional electric (or wood) stove that heats the air and sauna stones for steam, plus infrared panels that warm your body directly at lower air temperatures. You can use either system on its own or both together, tailoring each session to how you feel.

Can you use the infrared and traditional heat at the same time?
Yes. You can run the Harvia stove and the infrared panels independently or simultaneously. Many owners warm up with infrared while the stove brings the cabin up to full traditional temperature.

Is this sauna suitable for outdoor use all year round?
Yes — it's designed as an outdoor garden sauna with insulated walls and roof for UK conditions. The premium aluminium exterior cladding handles the British weather without needing treatment, and the insulation helps the cabin reach temperature efficiently and stay warm through winter.

What electrical supply does it need?
The system has a total load of 8,100W (33.75A at 240V). The 6kW heater runs on its own dedicated feed and can be wired for 380V three-phase or 240V single-phase, while the controls, infrared and lighting/audio run from a 13A fused spur. The heater ships configured for three-phase by default — for single-phase use, all three live wires must be linked together at the junction box. A qualified electrician must carry out the connection, and we recommend confirming your supply before ordering.

How many people does it fit?
Up to four adults comfortably, across its 2m x 2m footprint.

Does it need a crane to install?
No — this model ships flat-packed in crates and is assembled on your prepared base, so no crane lift is required. Our fully pre-assembled cabins are different; those are delivered whole and craned into position, as explained in our sauna delivery guide.
