Turn it on and the room changes. The Serena is a Turkish-style mosaic table lamp, its shade set with hundreds of small pieces of blue, white and turquoise glass on an antique bronze base. Unlit it reads as a quiet decorative object. Lit, it scatters warm coloured light across the wall behind it.
At 40cm it sits comfortably on a bedside table, a bathroom shelf, a console or a restaurant tabletop. A warm white 2700K bulb glows through the coloured glass rather than glaring out of it — the sort of low, flattering light you want last thing at night.

THE MOSAIC GLASS

Is a bulb included?
No — the lamp is supplied without a bulb, so you can choose the brightness and colour you prefer. It takes one standard E27 screw-fit bulb, available from any supermarket or DIY shop.
Which bulb should I buy?
A warm white 2700K LED is what this lamp is designed around — it brings out the blue and turquoise in the glass without washing the colour out. Cooler bulbs make the mosaic look flatter and greyer. Look for CRI 90 or above if you want the colours at their richest, and keep to a modest wattage: this is a mood light, not a reading lamp.
Is the mosaic glass real?
Yes — the shade is set with individual pieces of coloured glass, not printed or moulded to look like mosaic. You can feel the texture of the separate pieces across the surface.
Will each lamp look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but not identical. Because the glass is set by hand, the precise pattern varies slightly from lamp to lamp. The colours, shape and size are consistent.
Can I use it as a bedside lamp?
It is one of the most popular uses for it. At 40cm tall and 10cm across, it fits a normal bedside table, and warm light through coloured glass is gentle enough to leave on while you wind down.
Does it need wiring in?
No. It arrives with a UK 3-pin plug fitted — fit a bulb, plug it into a standard socket and it is ready to use.
