Stove Types Explained

2026 Regulations & Ecodesign

All stoves we sell are Ecodesign 2022 compliant, meaning they meet the latest UK and EU regulations on emissions and efficiency. Many are also DEFRA exempt — approved for use in smoke control areas including most UK cities.

Choosing the Right Stove Output

Stove output is measured in kW. As a rough guide: a well-insulated room requires roughly 1kW per 14m³ of space. A typical UK living room (40–60m³) suits a 4–6kW stove. Larger open-plan spaces may need 7–10kW. Our team can help you size correctly — oversized stoves are inefficient and overheat the room.

Installation
