The hob

Bertazzoni's dual fuel hobs use brass burners — brass conducts heat well and holds up better than aluminium over years of cleaning. The dual-ring power burner is the one that matters: it drops to a genuine low simmer and climbs to full searing output, which is the range most gas hobs fail to deliver at both ends. A thermocouple safety device cuts the gas if a flame goes out.

Dual fuel or induction?

Dual fuel wins on visual feedback, wok cooking, and working in a power cut. Induction wins on speed, energy efficiency, safety and cleaning — and it is the only option if your home has no gas supply, which increasingly applies to new builds. Neither is objectively better; it depends on how you cook.

Installation

Dual fuel models must be connected by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and also need an electrical supply for the ovens. We'll confirm the exact gas and electrical requirements for your chosen model before you order.
