How many people?
Capacity drives everything — the trailer length, the heater size, the wood volume, the price. Most clients land between 2 and 6.

What shape suits you?
Shape is part aesthetics, part practicality. Barrels heat fast and look iconic. Square cabins maximise headroom and bench layout. Domes turn heads.

Wood-burning or Finnish electric?
The single biggest decision for the experience. Wood-burning feels ritual — crackling fire, deeper heat, mains-free. Electric is instant, controllable, requires power on site.

Windows — and where?
A panoramic window transforms a sauna from a wooden box into a view. Choose carefully: heat retention, privacy, and aesthetics all play in.

Door — solid wood or glass?
Wooden doors feel traditional and hold heat better. Glass doors feel architectural and let light in. Half-glass is the popular middle ground.

Do you need a changing room?
A separate vestibule keeps the heat in, gives somewhere dry to undress, and somewhere to leave towels and a kettle. Worth the extra trailer length for most.

Is there power where it’ll live?
Smaller electric heaters run on a standard single-phase 230V supply (typically 32A). Larger heaters for 6+ person saunas require three-phase (400V). If your site is off-grid, wood-burning is the only practical choice — but you can still have battery-powered LED interior lights.
