An oval of glowing alabaster on a copper arm — compact in form, rich in material. The Ovale turns a simple shape into a quiet focal point: the stone lit softly from within at 3000K, the copper frame warm against plaster, timber or stone.
Alabaster has been used for lighting for centuries for one reason — it is translucent. Light doesn't reflect off the surface, it travels through the stone and comes out softened, carrying the veining with it. No diffuser, no frosted glass, no engineering: just a naturally occurring material doing what nothing man-made quite replicates.
Two heights give you a compact accent or a more considered statement piece. Both look their best in pairs.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes — natural alabaster, not resin or frosted glass made to imitate it. Its translucency is the whole point of the fitting: light travels through the stone rather than bouncing off it. Every shade has its own veining, so no two are identical.
Which size should I choose?
The 25cm suits bedsides, mirrors and anywhere you want an accent rather than a feature. The 50cm is for taller walls, hallways and stairwells where a small fitting would look lost. If you are hanging a pair either side of a bed, most people find the 25cm the better proportion.
Can I fit this in a bathroom?
This fitting is not IP rated, so it is for dry indoor areas only. UK wiring regulations require an appropriately rated fitting within the zones around a bath or shower. Ask us and we will point you to a rated alternative.
How high should I mount it?
For general wall lighting, roughly 1.5 to 1.7m from floor to the centre of the fitting. Beside a bed, lower — around 1.2 to 1.4m — so the light falls where you would read. Decide before your electrician runs the cable; moving it afterwards means making good the plaster.
Is there a bulb to change?
No. The LED is integrated and rated for 40,000 hours — comfortably over fifteen years at three hours a night.
Will the two sizes look the same colour?
Both run at 3000K, so the light matches. The stone itself will differ slightly between pieces, which is the nature of natural alabaster — if you are buying a pair for a symmetrical installation, order them together so they come from the same batch.

Free UK mainland delivery, fully tracked. Alabaster is a natural stone and fragile in transit, so each fitting is packed in protective boxing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations.
