Pure alabaster from base to top. The Puro is a compact cylindrical wall sconce carved entirely from natural stone — no metal housing, no visible fixings, just the glowing alabaster itself, surface-mounted and lit from within.
Most wall lights give you one colour of light and leave you to live with it. This one carries a remote control: switch between a 3500K warm glow for the evening, a balanced 4100K, or a crisp 6000K daylight when you actually need to see something — without touching the wall or changing a bulb.

SOLID STONE, NOT A STONE FINISH
Alabaster has been used for lighting for centuries for one reason: it is translucent. Light travels through the stone rather than bouncing off it, emerging softened and carrying the veining with it. That is why the Puro glows rather than glares, and why no diffuser is needed — the material is the diffuser.
Because it is carved from natural stone rather than moulded, every piece differs. Colour, translucency and veining vary from one fitting to the next. If you are buying a pair for a symmetrical installation, order them together so they come from the same batch.
WHERE IT WORKS
The remote earns its keep here — daylight to get ready, warm to wind down, without getting out of bed.
At D10 × H30cm it projects very little from the wall, so it suits narrow passages where a bulkier fitting would catch.
A pair either side of artwork or a console reads as intentional detailing rather than just lighting.

COMMON QUESTIONS
How does the remote work?
The remote is included and switches the fitting between its three colour temperatures. It needs no wiring, no app and no hub — point and press. If you install a pair, they will normally respond to the same remote, so both change together.
Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes — the whole body is natural alabaster, not resin or frosted glass made to imitate it. Its translucency is the reason the fitting works: the stone diffuses the light itself, no plastic diffuser required.
Will two fittings look identical?
Close, but not identical. Natural stone varies in colour, veining and translucency. Order a pair together and they will be drawn from the same batch, which keeps them as consistent as the material allows.
Can I fit this in a bathroom?
This fitting is not IP rated, so it is for dry indoor areas only. UK wiring regulations require an appropriately rated fitting within the zones around a bath or shower. Ask us and we will point you to a rated alternative.
Is it dimmable?
The remote changes colour temperature rather than brightness. If you want dimming as well, mention it when you order and we will confirm what is possible on your circuit before you commit.
How high should I mount it?
Roughly 1.5 to 1.7m from floor to the centre of the fitting for general wall lighting; lower, around 1.2 to 1.4m, beside a bed. Agree the height before your electrician runs the cable — moving it later means making good the plaster.

Free UK mainland delivery, fully tracked. Alabaster is a natural stone and fragile in transit, so each fitting is packed in protective boxing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations.
