Why we ask for your address. This sauna arrives fully assembled as a single unit, so it has to be lifted into position rather than carried through. OUTDOOR FINNISH SAUNA · WITH ANTECHAMBER · UP TO 6

Four metres of sauna, split almost evenly between the hot room and a proper antechamber. The Nordic Escape is not a hot box at the bottom of the garden. It is a small building, with somewhere to undress, hang a robe, sit down and cool off between rounds.

Made to order in Siberian fir with linden benches, delivered fully assembled, and finished in the colour of your choice. Add a genuine Harvia heater and it arrives ready to commission.

The antechamber is nearly as big as the sauna

Most garden saunas give you one room. You undress outside, leave your towel on the grass, and step straight back into the weather when the heat gets too much. It works in July. It is the reason most of them go unused from October.

The Nordic Escape splits the building almost in half:

  • Sauna room, 200 × 200cm. The hot room, with linden benches.
  • Antechamber, 180 × 200cm. A genuine room, not a porch. Somewhere to change, store robes and towels, and sit between rounds without going back to the house.

That second room does two things. It gives you the cool down that makes sauna bathing work properly, and it buffers the hot room from the cold every time the outer door opens, so the temperature holds through a longer session.

CHOOSE YOUR HEATER
No Heater
CABIN ONLY

The sauna supplied without a stove, for anyone who already has one or who wants to specify their own. You will need to source and fit a heater sized to the 200 × 200cm room before it can be used.

Harvia Cilindro PC90
9.0kW ELECTRIC · +£600

The practical choice. Switch it on and walk away. No wood to store, no fire to lay, no ash to clear, and no flue to install. Needs a dedicated electrical supply.

Harvia M3
WOOD BURNING · +£1,500

The full ritual. Crackle, scent and a softer, more enveloping heat that many people find impossible to replicate electrically. No electrical supply needed for the heat itself, but it does need a flue and the right clearances.

Not sure which suits you? Call 0330 133 6617. It usually comes down to how spontaneously you want to use it, and whether running a flue is straightforward where the sauna is going.

Made to order, to your dimensions

Every Nordic Escape is built for the customer who ordered it, so the standard layout is a starting point rather than a fixed product. We can alter:

  • Overall size, and the split between sauna room and antechamber
  • Internal height
  • Bench layout and configuration
  • Exterior and interior colour
  • Roof colour
  • Lighting

Tell us the space you are working with and what you want to do in it, and we will design around it. Call 0330 133 6617 and ask. There is no charge for the conversation.

Built for a British winter

The structure is Siberian fir, a dense, slow grown softwood that holds its shape well through the temperature swings a sauna puts it through.

Inside, the benches are linden, chosen because it has very low thermal conductivity. It stays comfortable to sit on when the cabin is at full temperature, which is the difference between a sauna you relax in and one you perch on.

The floor is decking, so air circulates underneath rather than trapping moisture against the base. The roof is bituminous covering in a colour of your choosing. Ventilation and electrical installation, including lighting with safety rated cabling, are fitted as part of the build.

Doors and windows are tempered glass, and all doors are fitted with locks, which is worth having if the sauna sits at the bottom of a garden or on a holiday let.

Delivery and Offloading

The Nordic Escape is delivered fully assembled, on a flatbed truck.

Please read: offloading is not included and is the customer's responsibility. A crane or forklift must be arranged by you to lift the sauna from the truck into its final position. This is a substantial building and it cannot be manhandled off a flatbed. Call us before you order and we will talk through what your site needs, so there are no surprises on the day.

Lead time is 6 to 8 weeks, as each sauna is made to order to your specification.

Before It Arrives

Base. The sauna must be positioned on solid, flat, level ground able to take its weight in use and filled with people. Typically a concrete pad or a properly engineered equivalent, sized to the 400 × 240cm footprint with clearance around it for access and ventilation.

Electrical. The sauna is supplied with its internal electrical installation and lighting fitted, but the supply to the building must be provided by you, installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring regulations. If you choose the Harvia PC90, it needs a dedicated supply sized for a 9.0kW heater, so give your electrician the heater specification before the work is booked.

Wood burning stove. If you choose the Harvia M3, it needs a correctly installed flue and the right clearances to combustible materials. We will go through siting with you before you order.

Access. Because it arrives whole and needs craning into place, the route and the lifting position matter more than usual. Check gateway widths, overhead cables, tree cover and where a crane can safely set up. Send us photos if you are unsure and we will look at it with you.

Common Questions

Which heater should I choose?

The Harvia Cilindro PC90 is the practical option. Press a button, walk away, no wood to store and no flue to install, though it does need a dedicated electrical supply for a 9.0kW heater. The Harvia M3 wood burning stove gives you the full traditional experience and needs no electrical supply for the heat, but it does need a flue and the right clearances. Choosing no heater only makes sense if you already have one or intend to specify your own.

How many people does it actually seat?

Up to six in the 200 × 200cm sauna room, depending on how the benches are configured. Four sit very comfortably. Because it is made to order, tell us how you intend to use it and we will set the benching up to suit, whether that is more seats or more room to lie down.

What is the antechamber for?

Changing, storage and cooling down. At 180 × 200cm it is a proper room rather than a porch, so you can undress, leave clothes and towels dry, and sit between rounds without stepping outside. It is the part that makes the sauna usable in winter.

Can I change the size?

Yes. It is made to order, so overall dimensions, internal height and the split between the two rooms can all be altered. Tell us the space and we will design around it.

What is not included?

Offloading and crane hire, the base, and the electrical supply to the building. If you choose the wood burning stove, the flue installation is also separate. Those are the things to budget for alongside the sauna, and we would rather you knew now than found out on delivery day.

Do I really need a crane?

Yes. It arrives fully built on a flatbed and has to be lifted off and set down in position. A crane or forklift with adequate reach and capacity is required, arranged by you. Talk to us first and we will help you work out what the lift needs.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Very close. Because each sauna is made to order and timber is a natural material, slight variation in appearance, colour and grain is normal and does not affect quality or function.

How long from order to delivery?

Typically 6 to 8 weeks. If you are working to a deadline, tell us when you enquire and we will confirm what is realistic before you commit.

Warranty and Returns

Covered by a 2 year warranty.

Please note that these saunas are made to order to your bespoke requirements, so we are unable to accept returns. We would much rather you asked every question you have before ordering. Call our team on 0330 133 6617 and we will help you get the specification right first time.

Please inspect the sauna on delivery and report any transit damage within 24 hours, with photos and your order number, to support@nuovoluxury.co.uk.
