Bertazzoni Air-Tec Vented Induction Range Cookers

The Air-Tec range cooker solves a specific problem: you want a statement cooker on an island or in an open-plan kitchen, and you don't want an extraction hood hanging in the sightline. Air-Tec builds downdraft extraction directly into the cooker, pulling steam and odour down through the hob instead of up into a canopy.

Nuovo Luxury stocks all seven colours of the 90cm PROCH94I1E, from £5,499 in stainless steel to £5,799 in colour and Carbonio. Very few UK retailers carry the full colour set.

What it actually is

Three appliances in one chassis — an induction hob, an electric oven, and an extraction system — in the Professional Series design language with its signature metal knobs. The hob runs four induction zones controlled by ergonomic metal knobs, with multi-zone technology that combines two zones into a single larger cooking area for oversized pots and pans.

Who it suits

Island installations, open-plan kitchens, rooms with low ceilings or roof windows where a hood is impractical, and anyone renovating who wants to avoid running ducting through a ceiling. The trade-off is that downdraft extraction works best on the hob surface itself — tall stockpots throw more steam above the capture zone than a canopy hood would miss.

Installation

Air-Tec models need a dedicated high-amperage electrical circuit installed by a qualified electrician, and a decision on ducted versus recirculating extraction — which affects where the unit can sit. Talk to us before finalising kitchen drawings; call 0330 133 6617.
