Bertazzoni PRO95I2ECAT — 90cm twin oven induction range cooker in Carbonio, £4,899. An all-electric Professional Series cooker with an induction hob and twin electric ovens, in Bertazzoni's textured dark finish.

The Carbonio finish

Carbonio is offered on induction models only — this is one of just four in the whole range, and the least expensive of them.

The textured surface diffuses light instead of reflecting it, so it hides fingerprints, water marks and everyday smears dramatically better than gloss black. In practice that means noticeably less wiping in a kitchen that gets used properly. Visually it sits closer to matt anthracite than true black, which suits contemporary schemes with warm timber or concrete.

If you want a dark cooker and you cook every day, this is the finish to look at first.

The hob

An induction hob controlled by Professional Series metal knobs. Induction puts around 85–90% of its energy into the pan rather than the surrounding air, boiling water in roughly half the time of gas. Control is instantaneous, and the glass barely heats — spills wipe off rather than baking on. Paired with the Carbonio body, this is one of the lowest-maintenance combinations Bertazzoni makes.

Needs ferrous, magnetic cookware. All cast iron works and most modern stainless does; pure aluminium and copper don't. Test with a fridge magnet before ordering.

The ovens

Main electric oven with 11 functions and a digital programmer. Auxiliary oven with six versatile modes. Triple-glass doors reduce heat loss.

Installation

Needs a dedicated high-amperage circuit from the consumer unit, installed by a qualified electrician — not a 13A plug. No gas connection and no annual gas safety check. Ask us for the exact amperage, aperture and clearance figures from the specification sheet before cabinetry is cut. See our installation guide.

Questions

Can I get Carbonio in dual fuel? No — induction only, in four models across 90cm and 100cm.

Carbonio or gloss black? Carbonio hides marks far better. Black is glossier and more classic. Carbonio is £300 more than stainless; there is no 90cm twin oven induction in gloss black at a lower price.

Will my pans work? If a fridge magnet sticks firmly to the base, yes.
