Bertazzoni Range Cookers UK — Complete Buyer's Guide

Bertazzoni Professional Series range cookers cost £4,099 to £6,299 in the UK. This guide covers every model we stock, what the model codes mean, how to choose a width and fuel type, and what installation actually involves.

The short answer

If you want the fastest route to a decision: choose 90cm unless you regularly cook for eight or more. Choose dual fuel if you have gas and like a visible flame, induction if you don't have gas or you value speed and easy cleaning. Choose stainless steel to save £300 and never date, or a colour if you want the cooker to be the focal point of the room.

Which Bertazzoni series?

Bertazzoni makes four series: Professional, Master, Heritage and Modern. They share the same core engineering — the differences are styling.

Nuovo Luxury stocks the Professional Series, in full: all 64 models. We don't stock Master, Heritage or Modern. If you want the muted Master palette or the country-kitchen Heritage look, we'll say so rather than steer you to something we happen to have.

The Professional Series is defined by solid metal knobs, a heavy front rail, deep gloss colour finishes, and brass gas burners on the dual fuel models. It is the line most people picture when they picture a Bertazzoni.

Decoding the model codes

Bertazzoni model codes are entirely logical once you see the pattern. Take PRO106L2EROT:

  • PRO — Professional Series
  • 10 — 100cm wide (9 = 90cm, 11 = 110cm, 12 = 120cm)
  • 6 — six hob burners
  • L — gas hob, i.e. dual fuel (I = induction, G = gas on the 120cm)
  • 2 — two ovens (3 = XG triple oven)
  • E — electric ovens
  • ROT — rosso, red

Colour codes: XT = stainless steel · NET = nero, black · BIT = bianco, white · ROT = rosso, red · GIT = giallo, yellow · ART = arancio, orange · CAT = Carbonio.

PROCH94I1E is the exception: CH denotes the Air-Tec vented models, 94 = 90cm, I1 = induction with one oven.

Choosing a width

Width Models From Best for
90cm 20 £4,099 Most UK family kitchens. Fits where a 60cm cooker plus cabinetry sat.
100cm 26 £4,699 Keen cooks. Widest model choice, twin or XG triple oven.
110cm 12 £5,599 Serious entertainers. XG triple oven on every model.
120cm 6 £5,999 Large kitchens where the cooker is the centrepiece.

The honest advice on width: the jump from 90cm to 100cm buys you meaningful hob space and the XG option, and is usually worth it if the kitchen allows. The jump from 110cm to 120cm is mostly hob real estate. Measure the aperture, but also measure the route from your front door — these are heavy units and delivery access defeats more orders than kitchen space does.

Twin oven or XG?

Twin oven models have two cavities: a main electric oven with 11 functions and a smaller auxiliary oven. XG models add a third cavity — usually carrying an adjustable grill — and an extra-large main oven.

The XG premium runs roughly £400–£800. It earns that if you cook multiple dishes at different temperatures, or if Christmas dinner is a serious operation in your house. If you mostly cook for four to six people, the twin oven does everything you need.

Dual fuel or induction?

Dual fuel (30 models, from £4,099)

Brass gas burners with electric ovens. The dual-ring power burner is the feature that matters — it moves from a genuine low simmer to full searing output, a range most gas hobs fail at one end or the other. A thermocouple safety device cuts the gas if a flame goes out. Works in a power cut, suits wok cooking, gives visual feedback on heat level.

Induction (34 models, from £4,599)

All-electric. Boils water in roughly half the time of gas, puts around 85–90% of its energy into the pan rather than the air, responds instantly, and wipes clean because the glass barely heats. Needs ferrous cookware — most modern stainless and all cast iron work; pure aluminium and copper don't. If your home has no gas supply, which increasingly applies to new builds, this is the only way to get a full-size Professional Series cooker.

The ovens are identical in both. You lose nothing on the baking side by going induction.

Air-Tec vented induction (7 models, from £5,499)

An induction hob with downdraft extraction built into the cooker itself, so no overhead hood is needed. Three appliances in one chassis. Ideal for islands, open-plan kitchens, low ceilings, or any layout where a canopy hood would break the sightline. The trade-off: downdraft captures best at hob level, so tall stockpots throw steam above the capture zone in a way a canopy wouldn't miss. See the Air-Tec collection.

Colours

Seven finishes: stainless steel, black, white, red, yellow, orange, and Carbonio.

Stainless steel is consistently £300 cheaper than the equivalent colour model, and it never dates — the safe choice if you might change the kitchen's look later. Carbonio, a textured dark grey available only on induction models, hides fingerprints far better than gloss black and is the practical dark option for a kitchen in daily use.

Installation requirements

Dual fuel models must be connected by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and also need an electrical supply for the ovens. Confirm your gas connection position before the kitchen is fitted — moving it afterwards is expensive.

Induction and Air-Tec models need a dedicated high-amperage circuit run from the consumer unit by a qualified electrician, not a standard 13A plug. No gas connection and no annual gas safety check.

We confirm the exact gas and electrical requirement for your chosen model before you order, and can advise on approved installers. Air-Tec models also need a ducted-versus-recirculating decision, which affects where the unit can sit — worth resolving at drawing stage.

What people actually ask before buying

Are Bertazzoni range cookers reliable? Bertazzoni's reputation is strong on build and design and more mixed on aftercare — you'll find both experiences online. The variable that matters most is having a retailer who knows the range and will pick up the phone. Ask any retailer, including us, who services the product in your area before you commit.

How long do they last? A well-installed range cooker used domestically should give well over a decade. The parts that fail first tend to be electronic programmers and ignition components rather than the ovens or burners themselves.

Do the bold colours date? Less than people fear. Bertazzoni's colours are the brand's signature rather than a passing trend, and they read as a deliberate design decision. That said, colour is the hardest thing to change later — if you're genuinely unsure, stainless steel costs less and constrains nothing.
